This 32-minute Micro-Sprint course is specifically designed to challenge conventional skin-smoothing techniques and introduce you to "Reverse Retouching"—the art of deliberately creating imperfections to make skin look realistic. You will explore the visual characteristics of four major skin concerns (Acne, Aging, Dark Spots, and Sensitive Skin) and master three principles for preserving lighting, texture, and logical placement. Combined with a practical five-step workflow and a specialized set of AI prompts, this course helps designers pass the rigorous quality control (QC) reviews of Korean and Japanese clients with greater confidence.

Comprehensive Knowledge

Master the Reverse Retouching mindset and learn how to create imperfections (acne, wrinkles, and melasma) with logical placement, appropriate sizing, random distribution, and realistic lighting interactions to create a convincing visual effect.

Working Pipeline

Identify and accurately retouch four major skin concern categories: Acne-Prone Skin (inflamed acne and blackheads), Aging Skin (wrinkles associated with ages 30 and 40+), Dark Spots (melasma and freckles), and Sensitive Skin (redness and irritation).

Practice

Apply three core retouching principles: preserve natural lighting (Highlight – Transition – Shadow), build complex skin texture (Color – Texture – Volume), and distribute imperfections randomly to avoid repetition.

Real Experiment

Apply a practical five-step design workflow (Analyze – Generate – Select/Blend – Refine – Integrate Texture) alongside Vietnamese and English AI prompts to automate the creation of skin imperfections and minimize revisions during QC for the Japanese and Korean markets.

Now my work is much more natural!
This course completely changed the way I think about retouching. I used to rely on apps to smooth skin, but I never realized that creating acne or melasma requires such careful consideration of placement, size, and light reflections (highlights and shadows). The AI prompt instructions are incredibly useful!
